Plot[]
One night. Unikitty decides to cheer everyone up in the kingdom with a spectacular fireworks show! However, Master Frown upon knowing so decides to sneak into the fireworks' storage, believing that he can ruin the show. But momentarily after sneaking in, Unikitty discovers him, so he tries escaping. Unfortunately he gets the door locked, and the key falls downstairs, and gets picked up by Puppycorn who then tosses it into a wishing well that he immediately buries.
Stuck atop of the tower, Master Frown is forced to endure 9 hours of Unikitty's antics. Eventually, Unikitty tells him to talk out his feelings with a firecracker she impetuously names as 'Professor Pow-Pow' the "licensed feelings therapist". At first, Master Frown is only perfunctorily answering the questions, until Unikitty accidentally alights 'Professor Pow-Pow'. They both toss off the firecracker, only for the embers to ignite the rest of the fireworks in the tower. Needing Unikitty's tears to extinguish the fireworks, Master Frown finally reveals his tragic backstory of losing his favorite lollipop on one of his birthdays.
Subsequently, the fireworks are put out after Master Frown has induced a crying fit from Unikitty. However, learning that Unikitty deliberately locked herself and him together just to make him confess his feelings, Master Frown immediately claims he's been lying about his story. Turns out Unikitty has prepared trick fuses for the fireworks in case Master Frown lies, and she frees herself thanks to the explosion while Master Frown is sent back to Frowntown.
After being launched back to his apartment in Frowntown, Master Frown sees that he has received a lollipop from Unikitty as a reward for talking about his feelings. Although initially dismissive towards the gift, he accepts it regardless, and brings it to his bedroom. There, it is revealed that his backstory is real as he is still keeping the bandaged lollipop from his childhood, and he mildly smiles in a sense of gratitude.
